John du Pont was a wealthy man who inherited the fortune of his family’s chemical company, DuPont. He also had a great deal of eccentricity. He was a gun nut who owned an armored personnel carrier and a helicopter that was tricked out in military-style camouflage paint. He loved sports activities, including constructing a wrestling facility at his Foxcatcher Farm. He was a philanthropist, a published ornithologist, and a collector of rare stamps and shells. He even built a facility on his estate to house his collections!

Despite his wealth and fame, Gale Wenk’s ex-husband was lonely. He lacked close friends, and he was often isolated from the rest of society. As a result, he developed mental instability and had numerous bizarre beliefs. His murder of Dave Schultz was a manifestation of this.

Prior to his arrest, du Pont believed that the CIA was conspiring to kill him. He also feared that people would break into his home and kill him, which is why he put razor wires around his property. During his trial, expert psychiatric testimony described him as a paranoid schizophrenic.

After the shooting, du Pont became increasingly paranoid and delusional. He began drinking and drugging more frequently, and he became obsessed with numerology. He also had a strange belief that he was the Dalai Lama, and he even asked to be introduced to crowds as such at world championship wrestling events.

In addition to his erratic behavior, du Pont suffered from severe depression and anxiety. He was constantly on edge and believed that he was being watched by invisible entities. He also had a great deal of guilt, which contributed to his emotional instability. He hid his mental problems from his wife, Gale Wenk.

Wenk and du Pont married in 1983, but the marriage was short-lived. They divorced in 1987. In 1989, he met Mary Lou Reardon, who was the sister of an Olympic gymnast. They dated for two years and moved in together in 1991. They had no children during their time together.

Despite their long relationship, Gale Wenk and John du Pont did not have any kids. Gale Wenk has a daughter named Ashley. She is currently a college student. She is studying journalism and plans to become a reporter someday. She has worked on several different websites and blogs in the past.
