Clark was born and raised in Mount Vernon, New York. He was the son of Richard Augustus Clark and Julia Fuller (nee Barnard).
Dick Clark married his first wife “Barbara Mallery” in 1952, and they divorced in 1961. He then married his second wife “Loretta Martin” in 1962, a year after their divorce.
Clark then got married to his third wife “Kari Wigton” in 1977, and they remained together till his death. He died of natural causes on April 18, 2012. His last appearance was in a Christmas special in 2012 and he died at age 79. He also founded Dick Clark Productions, a company that created and produced American Music Awards. He also founded the American Bandstand Diner restaurant chain that was modeled after the Hard Rock Cafe.

Dick Clark is a film and television producer, screenwriter and director. He has made a number of notable films including the 1968 movie Killers Three, which was written and produced by him. He also produced the late night ABC-TV series In Concert, which featured many of the top rock musicians of the day.
He married his first wife Barbara Mallery in 1952 and divorced her in 1961. He then married Loretta Martin in 1962 and had two children with her, Duane and Cindy. He later married Kari Wigton in 1977 and remained happily married until his death in 2012.
His best-known production is the “Rockin’ New Year’s Eve” television special. The show was a big hit and won several awards. It was hosted by Regis Philbin. The event was filmed at the famous Hollywood Bowl and was considered a major success by critics and fans alike. It was the first time that the venue had been used for such a large-scale television event.

She is known for being the ex-wife of Dick Clark. She was married to him in 1952 but they divorced in 1961.

Barbecue is a comedy that follows the dysfunctional O’Mallery family in an attempt to help their sister Barbara, who suffers from drug addiction. Despite their best efforts, the family inevitably starts to reveal some of their own vices and peccadilloes.
The play opens with the siblings gathered in a park for an intervention to help their sister Barbara. But soon the dysfunctions of both the white and black O’Mallery family begin to show through as they struggle with their own issues.
Although the play is very funny, I found that it also took me out of the story. As a matter of fact, I felt as if some of the characters were too over dramatic, even when they were supposed to be more realistic. But it was still worth it as the play had some interesting points to make about family and social relationships. I would have liked to see a more in depth discussion of the relationship between family and media, but overall it was a good play and an enjoyable comedy.
