William Keith Swindell
William Keith Swindell passed away on Monday, September 2 at his home in Townsend. He was 65. He was born in Savannah and was a graduate of Glennville High School. He worked for Alltel Telephone Company for 34 years. He was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity at Georgia Southern University.
He’s a big fan of The Bachelorette
The singer loves the show, and says he has met several of the contestants. In fact, he’s friends with contestant Zach Shallcross, who he met on season 19 of the show. Swindell has also dated a Bachelorette contestant in the past.
He grew up in a small town in Georgia and has a strong connection to his home state. His music often incorporates themes about small-town life, and he frequently plays stadiums with acts like Luke Bryan and Kenny Chesney.
Swindell’s father died in 2013 after a truck that he was working on fell on him. The death came just six weeks after he called his dad to tell him about signing a deal with Warner Music Nashville. Swindell’s dad was a country music producer and enjoyed playing the drums.
