In 2008, Bissett starred in the ABC Family television series The Secret Life of the American Teenager. The show’s producers were aware of her upcoming divorce from Rob Estes and accommodated her schedule, bundling her scenes together on weeks when she did not have to be in Los Angeles with her sons Mason and Maya.
