During his NBA career, Jason Kidd faced many obstacles. However, he pushed through them patiently and eventually achieved his goals.

His father, Steve Kidd, played a significant role in his life and instilled patience in him. This is why he was able to wait for eleven years before finally getting his first ever NBA title.

Steve Kidd

Steve Kidd is an inspirational father to Jason who has helped him become successful in his basketball career. He also played a major role in teaching Jason life lessons which helped him to succeed both on and off the court.

Born to an African-American family, Kidd grew up in San Francisco and Oakland. He was a star student at St. Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, California under the guidance of prep coach Frank LaPorte.

As a senior, he led his team to back-to-back state championships and compiled a plethora of individual honors. He was named Player of the Year by PARADE and USA Today, and was the top player in the country for assists.

During his NBA career, Kidd was an integral part of the Dallas Mavericks and New Jersey Nets teams, winning two consecutive NBA Finals and leading them to the franchise’s first-ever title in 2011. After retiring from playing, he became a head coach for the Nets.

Anne Kidd

Jason Kidd’s parents, Anne and Steve Gregory Kidd, were focused on their children and invested quality time with them. They also ensured that their kids developed in a healthy manner.

Their relationship was very successful and they got on well with each other. They both remained on good terms even after the divorce and they always wanted their children to grow well in life.

The couple had three kids together; two girls and one boy. The boy is their most famous child and he was born on 23rd walk 1973 in Los Angeles, California the United States of America.

His mother was a computer programmer and worked for Bank of America. She was very supportive of her son’s career and never wanted him to stop playing.

Her father, Steve Kidd, was an African-American man who climbed the ranks at TWA from baggage handler to ticket counter supervisor. He was the person Jason looked up to and counted on to be a part of his games. He passed on his crucial life lessons to Jason that helped him in his b-ball career both as a player and as a coach.

Trey Kidd

Trey Kidd is the son of former NBA player Jason Kidd. He is currently a social media influencer and an entrepreneur who runs a business venture called The TJK Project.

He is also a former basketball player at the University of California and he still loves the sport. However, he plans to pursue another career in the future.

His father was a successful basketball player who led the Dallas Mavericks to the 2011 NBA Championship. He was a great leader and his son has fond memories of the games he played with him in college.

In his twenties, he is planning to follow in his dad’s footsteps and become a coach. He has a lot of things to learn before he gets there though.

He grew up in an upper middle class neighborhood in Oakland Hills, California. His parents divorced in 2007 and he was adversely affected by the breakup. His relationship with his father has now been strained.

Cooper Kidd

Jason Kidd is a successful basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks. He was previously the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

In addition to coaching the Milwaukee Bucks, he also runs a philanthropic foundation named JK Select which provides educational opportunities to children in his community. Besides being a successful coach, Kidd is also a good father to his kids.

He has three children from his first marriage with Joumana Marie Samaha (nee Samaha): Trey Jason Kidd, Jazelle Kidd, and Miah Kidd.

Despite their messy divorce, the former couple still remain in touch. They have their three children together and are happy.

Cooper Anne is the youngest of their children and was born in 2017. She is growing up fast and looks just like her mother and older sister Noah.
