As it turns out, a number of new vehicles from the 2022 model year are going to get a big boost in horsepower, thanks to some of the latest technology from Ford. Unfortunately, third-party tuners may have a hard time achieving their high-performance goals with these vehicles.

2022 Ford Super Duty

The 2022 Ford Super Duty is a powerful, capable pickup truck that offers plenty of features to make driving it easy. It is also durable enough to withstand long trips, whether it’s for work or play.

The Super Duty has a wide range of engine options to choose from, including a 6.2-liter gas V8 that delivers 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque or a 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel. Both engines are paired with a TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission to deliver exceptional performance.

For 2022, the Super Duty lineup gains new infotainment features and exterior and interior color options. Among the new features are a 12.0-inch touchscreen with Ford’s Sync 4 software and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An appearance package adds a color-matched grille, bumpers, and exterior mirrors. A new Atlas Blue paint option is available as well.

2023 Lincoln Corsair

The Corsair is one of Lincoln’s more modest offerings, slotting between the midsize Nautilus and the three-row Aviator. It’s a five-passenger hauler that’s not quite as stylish as its larger siblings but it’s a pretty good choice if you’re looking for a small SUV with luxury features.

For 2023, the Corsair has a freshened exterior and a revamped interior. New grille and lower grille designs create a sleeker appearance, while slanted LED headlamps make the front-end more eye-catching.

Inside, the Corsair gets a new infotainment system that uses SYNC 4 software to offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. A head-up display also offers turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle alerts and more.

The Corsair comes standard with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and evasive steering assist, while a hands-free lane-change feature is optional. Around-view cameras and reverse brake assist are also available.

2023 Ford Mustang

The 2023 Ford Mustang is a rear-wheel-drive, four-seat sports car that goes head-to-head with the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger. It comes in coupe and convertible body styles and five main trims: EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium and Mach 1.

The Mach 1 is the most powerful pony in its class and packs a ferocious 470 horsepower from the 5.0-liter V8. It also has a variety of performance upgrades, including MagneRide and heavy-duty front springs.

Drivers can enjoy an advanced Sync interface, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also Track Apps, which lets you take a look at a range of vehicle performance metrics.

The 2023 Ford Mustang is a fun and affordable option for drivers looking for a high-performance sports car. It comes with several engine and transmission options, plus a hybrid version for fuel efficiency lovers. It’s one of the best value cars for the money, especially in comparison to the Chevrolet Camaro or Dodge Challenger.

2023 Ford Mach-E

The 2023 Ford Mach-E is a five-seat electric SUV that delivers anywhere from 224 to 300 miles of driving range, depending on the battery pack and whether you opt for rear- or all-wheel drive. The base Select trim is priced at $54,975, while the California Route 1 trim costs $63,575.

The Mach-E delivers a fun driving experience, thanks to its sporty steering wheel and responsive electronic powertrain. It also offers plenty of cargo space.

Its hatch-style trunk provides 29 cubic feet of storage behind the second row, which can be expanded to 60 with the split rear seats folded. There’s also a flexible cargo cover that can attach to the rear hatch and swing up out of the way or be removed entirely.

The cabin is comfortable, with a sturdily built interior and premium soft-touch upholstery. Standard features include a vertically mounted 15.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, SYNC 4 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and wireless device charging.
