She was born in Dover, Delaware

elaine coker was born on 22 Aug 1943 in Dover, Delaware. She was the daughter of Reverend Roland “Tip” Coker and Hazella Sammons. She married Clarence Warren Muntz on 2 Mar 1960 in Dover, Delaware. She died on 26 Oct 1994 in Dover, Delaware. She was buried in Immanuel Union United Methodist Church (Manship) Cemetery, Bishop’s Corner, Kent, Delaware.

Wythena is survived by her husband, Steven Richard Fleming; father, Charles (Debbie) Muntz of Newark; daughter, Brittany Durocher of New Castle; son, Dakota Richard Fleming of Glassboro; step-children, Justin (Jeanette) Fleming of Pitman, NJ and Jenna Fleming of Pitman, NJ; grandchildren, Matthew, Madison, Zoe and Elaina; sister, Valerie Matteo of Swedesboro, NJ; brother, Robert Muntz of Rehoboth Beach, DE; loving “Crazy Aunt Wy”; and many friends.

She died in Dover, Delaware

Dover is the capital city of Delaware and the second-largest city in the state. It is home to many government offices and the Dover Air Force Base, which is the main air cargo terminal for the United States Air Mobility Command.

She is survived by her husband

Elaine Coker, age 86, of Cary passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side on February 6, 2021. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Cary.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Lindsey and Ashley Petronella; 2 sisters, Marilyn Liberatore and Keri Whitehead; 3 brothers, Ronald Petronella, John Petronella and Robert Burke Petronella; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Her favorite activities were gardening, golfing and traveling. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents

Elaine Coker was born in Dover, Delaware and passed away on March 1, 2021. She was the daughter of Newt and Rose Hand Coker. She is survived by her husband, Charles Newton Daniel; her son, Charles Newton Daniel; and a granddaughter.

She is also survived by her siblings, Mabel Ayscue and Beatrice Childress.

She was married to Roland Coker on October 26, 1940. He passed away in 1963. During her life, she was a member of the Manship Methodist Church in Cheswold and the Baptist Mission. She also worked for many years with her husband in the Baptist Mission. She was also a trustee board class leader under the late Rev. Bolden and a local preacher.

She is survived by her daughters

Elaine Coker is survived by her daughters, Mary Ellen Kellow and Stacy Toth; daughter-in-law, Susan Toth; sister, Terri Toth; and grandchildren, Cody Toth, Morgan Kellow, Alayna Schimmel, Kirsten Toth, Adam “AJ” Kellow, Julian Toth, Karis Toth and Kaylee Toth.

She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Cary. She volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House and served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Duke University.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sister

Janice Elaine Coker was born on 7/9/1954 in Ocala, Florida. She is the daughter of Floyd and Mildred Coker. She is survived by her sister, Joyce Gallagher (Kevin) and Sandy Wagner. She also is survived by her soulmate of 30 years, Brian Eastburn of Mount Dora, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Ann Clark and Lori Marilyn Yates. She is survived by her brother Delton Coker, sister Marie Lawrence, many nieces and nephews and other relatives. She is remembered as a caring soul and will be greatly missed.
