Dean Martin had eight children from three marriages. The entertainer’s eldest daughter, Claudia, followed in her father’s footsteps and carved out a successful career in the entertainment industry.
Her second husband was hammy comedian Jerry Lewis. Their partnership spanned 16 movies. Their children, Ricci and Gina, both tapped into the music industry.
Alexander Martin
Dean Martin accomplished so much in his lifetime, and he did it all with the help of his large family. Some of his kids followed in their father’s footsteps, and others forged their own paths.
He served as the lieutenant colonel of a Continental light infantry battalion during the American Revolutionary War, and saw action at Moore’s Creek Bridge and Germantown. He also served in the Second Congress as a royal attorney and justice of the peace.
He married actress Jeanne Biegger and had three children, including Ricci Martin. His son spent his career as a singer, forming the band The Pack and collaborating with Carl Wilson of The Beach Boys. He passed away in 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. His daughter Claudia Martin is an actress who has appeared in a number of television shows and movies, such as Private Parts and Guiding Light.
Ricci Martin
Dean Martin’s youngest child, Ricci, forged a career for himself in the music industry as well. He released a single and an album in the 1970s, both with producer Carl Wilson of The Beach Boys, who married Ricci’s younger sister Gina. He later became a part of Dino, Desi & Billy.
He also authored His Son Remembers: Dean Martin’s Music and More, a tribute show to his famous father. He died in 2016 from unreported causes at the age of 62.
