The Braxton sisters, Toni, Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar, are known for their WeTV reality series, but they have a long history in the music industry. They got their start performing as the Braxtons in the late ’80s.

Toni Braxton

Her debut album Crash & Burn, released in 2014, landed at number one on the US Heatseekers albums chart and also peaked at 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. She had several hits including ‘Last Call’, ‘Broken Things’ and ‘Need It In My Life’.
She was also a member of the singing group The Braxtons, who toured with the likes of Madonna and Michael Jackson. They had a string of hits in the late 1990s before disbanding in the early 2000s.
Towanda Braxton
Towanda Braxton is a famous American singer, actress, dancer and reality TV star. She is one of the singing sisters of The Braxtons and stars on the WE TV series Braxton Family Values.
She is a mother and has two children with her husband, Andre Carter. They have a son named Braxton Montelus Carter and a daughter named Brooke.
In the 1990s, Towanda and her sisters formed a singing group called The Braxtons with Arista Records. They released their first single “Good Life” in 1990.

She was born on March 17, 1977 in Severn, Maryland and is of African American descent. Her parents are Evelyn and Michael Braxton.
During her music career, she released several albums. Her first album, Tamar (2000), spawned the hit singles “Get None” and “If You Don’t Wanna Love Me.”
Her second album, Love and War (2013), became her breakthrough success. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and the title track became a hit single.
