Shinzo Abe Spy X Family

Shinzo Abe Spy X Family Anime Review

Spy x family is one of the more popular manga series to hit Weekly Shonen Jump, with the anime adaptation of the original series coming out this spring. I was curious to see how this new version of the series would hold up.

The story follows a spy who has to “make a family” in order to execute his mission. But he doesn’t realize that the girl he adopts as a daughter and the woman with whom he agrees to be in a fake marriage are both mind readers and assassins!

The Story

The story of shinzo abe spy x family revolves around master Westalis spy Twilight who is assigned to a mission that involves uncovering the secrets of Ostania’s government. As part of his assignment, Twilight must form a cover family in order to carry out the mission.

This includes his wife, Yor, a skilled assassin, and their daughter, Anya, who has paranormal mind-reading powers. All three members of the family are determined to maintain their cover as “normal” while attempting to carry out their mission.

Despite their best efforts, they find that being normal is not always easy. They must also deal with rival spies and assassins running counter-operations that threaten to blow their cover.

Spy x family is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys high-octane action, comedy, and unique premise. Tatsuya Endo’s excellent writing, captivating characters, and stunning visuals make this series an anime that should be added to everyone’s collection.

The Characters

Tatsuya Endo has produced one of the most exciting new mangas of the year with Spy x Family. This is a manga about a mash-up of spy, assassin, and mind reader characters.

The main protagonist of the story is Loid Forger, a Westails spy who is sent on a top-secret mission. He is tasked with enrolling his child into a prestigious school in order to get close to a foreign politician, which prompts him to make the most of his espionage skills.

Alongside him is Yor Briar, a deadly assassin nicknamed the Thorn Princess who has mastery over deadly precision weapons and acrobatic martial arts. However, she is socially inept and unable to perceive cues from her surroundings.

Overall, Spy x Family is an excellent anime that delivers the comedy, drama, and action fans of the genre have been looking for. Tatsuya Endo has written and drawn some amazing character development, as well as great comic timing that will have you laughing in no time.

The Setting

Tatsuya Endo’s Spy x Family manga takes place in 1960s Cold War intrigue, with Ostania and Westalis competing in a secret war of spies and sabotage. The story follows a skilled spy named “Twilight,” his telepathic daughter Anya, and his assassin wife Yor.

Despite a wacky and often hilarious setting, Spy x Family is a very well-made story with a lot of heart. In fact, it’s become so popular that Shonen Jump Plus’s Mariko Honda recently hinted at a potential anime adaptation!

Though the series does fall into the typical slice-of-life formula, it keeps the premise fresh by adding in likable characters. Each of the new additions feel like they fit perfectly within the Forger’s zany family, and they add to the show’s charm without feeling forced.

The Animation

The animation in shinzo abe spy x family is very good. The story is very fun and there are lots of funny scenes in the anime.

The story follows a spy who has to “make a family” in order to execute his mission. But he soon learns that the woman he agrees to be in a fake marriage with is an assassin and the adoptive daughter he adopts is a telepath.

Spy x Family is directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, who previously worked on Rurouni Kenshin. It also features Atsumi Tanezaki (Mob Psycho 100) as Anya, Saori Hayami (The Honor Student at Magic High School) as Yor and Takuya Eguchi (Tokyo Revengers) as Loid.

The anime is available in English on Crunchyroll and Disney Plus, if you want to watch it on the go. You can also download the episodes on the anime’s official website.
