Lewis was a British author and critic who wrote several works of fiction and the children’s series, The Chronicles of Narnia. He also made many contributions to theology and education.
Lewis’s most influential book is Mere Christianity, which remains a popular work to this day and is considered a classic of its genre. Other works of his include On Stories and An Experiment in Criticism.
Ananda Lewis
Ananda Lewis is an American actress and singer who has been active in the media since the 1990s. She was a veejay and host for MTV for a decade before starting her own talk show, The Ananda Lewis Show.
She is an avid animal lover and has two pet chihuahuas. She also serves as a spokesperson for the Humane Society.
Born on March 21, 1973, in Los Angeles, California, Ananda Lewis is of mixed African-American and Native American heritage. She earned a degree in history at Howard University, in Washington, D.C., with cum laude honors.
During her time in college she worked with Youth at Risk, a mentoring group for underserved kids. Her success with the group inspired her to audition for BET’s Teen Summit.
After her successful audition, she became the show’s host. For three seasons she discussed serious issues affecting teenagers for a television audience of several million.
In 1996, she interviewed then-First Lady Hillary Clinton on the program’s installment titled “It Takes a Village.” That same year Teen Summit was nominated for a CableACE Award.
Actress
Neta Lewis is an actress who has been in the industry for more than three decades. She has featured in numerous movies and TV shows, including Black-ish.
She has also been a singer and a comedian. Her performance has earned her many awards and accolades. She has even been credited as the “mother of black Hollywood.”
In 2010, she made a donation to Little Kids Rock, a nonprofit organization that supports music education in underprivileged public schools. She has a strong interest in the organization and has supported it since its establishment.
Lewis has been a Scientology practitioner since the 1990s. She has a strong belief in the religion and credits it with helping her rehabilitate after a drug addiction. She also identifies as a Christian. She has a successful singing career and has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.
Author
Lewis was a scholar, author, and apologist. His works include The Four Loves, The Allegory of Love, Till We Have Faces and A Grief Observed.
He received firsts in Greek and Latin literature, philosophy and English at Oxford. After serving in World War I, he returned to university and became a fellow and tutor at Magdalen College. He published many books, including The Chronicles of Narnia, which he considered his best work.
Lewis also wrote a number of scholarly works on Christianity, such as A Grief Observed, which details his suffering over the death of his wife, Joy Davidman Gresham. He also criticized the concept of Heaven and Hell in The Great Divorce.
Carpenter
During her heyday, neta lewis was a top notch VJ on the MTV circuit. She was also known for her philanthropic endeavors, most notably her work with the Humane Society of Los Angeles.
After a career in show business, she realized it was time to branch out and try her hand at a more practical pursuit. Her first foray into the trade was carpentry, which she learned from her father at an early age.
She went on to earn a degree from the Art Institute of California, San Diego and became a certified master carpenter, which led to her being selected to compete on TLC’s popular home improvement show, While You Were Out. It was a fun experience and she quickly realized her true passion, which is not so much home improvement as it is the restoration of old houses.
The best part about it all was that she was able to put her newest skills to good use and create a successful business. She has since launched her own production company, At Last Productions. She is set to debut her new film, a modern day take on Lewis Carroll’s storybook fantasy Alice in Wonderland. The movie is expected to hit theaters in the coming months.
