Luis Guzman was born on August 28, 1956, in Cayey, Puerto Rico. He left his home country as an infant and moved to New York City with his parents.
He worked as a social worker before he got his start in the movie industry. He has a unique style of acting, and he plays tough guys with a heart.
During his childhood, he had a close relationship with his mother Rosa Cardona, who came to the United States from Puerto Rico. She lived on the Lower East Side and always brought him food when she could.
They married in 1985 and became parents of seven children. They have a daughter named Clare Briggs-Guzman and five sons: Cemi, Yoruba, Jace O’ Flynn, Margarita, and Luna.

Yemaya Briggs-Guzman is the eldest daughter of Luis Guzman and Angelita. She has been a model since she was young and has had numerous roles in different films.
The young actress has always loved to paint and horse ride, but she is also a big fan of music and dance. She is a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont.
She is a confident and loving person. She is very happy with her life and enjoys spending time with her family.
