John Carl Dinklage is an American actor who made his name in the acting industry. He is best known as the father of Peter Dinklage, an actor who has won a lot of awards.

The actor has achondroplasia which makes him only about 4 feet 5 inches tall. He is a very rare case of this genetic disorder that causes dwarfism.

He had two children – Jonathan Dinklage and Peter Dinklage. The younger of the two is a well-known actor. He gained international recognition when he played the role of Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones.

In his professional life, Dinklage was a salesman in the insurance industry. He earned a sizeable income from his work.

He married Diane E Hayden in 1966. The couple remained together for 38 years before she died. Their marriage produced two boys – Jonathan Dinklage and Peter Dinklage.
