Drew Billingsley

The first person from Winnemucca to sign a pro football contract, Billingsley has become the inspiration for his hometown. During last year’s season, citizens of his town crammed into bars and bowling alleys to cheer him on.

He has a big, powerful frame that’s been trimmed down by former NFL linebacker Andrew Kiffin. Now, it’s up to him to show how much he can add to the Bengals’ defensive line.

Leave It to Beaver

The clean-cut 1950s sitcom “Leave It to Beaver” starred the Cleaver family and their friends. The show, which aired on CBS from October 4, 1957 to June 20, 1963, chronicled the adventures of young “Beaver” Cleaver and his brother Wally and their parents.

During its six seasons, the show was a cult classic. Its popularity spawned many television reunions and spin-offs, as well as a series of merchandising products.

It also reflected the then-established social mores of mid-20th-century American life, particularly the view of suburban America as a white, middle class society. Most of the people on the show lived in a fictitious town of Mayfield, and their friendships were usually between families who were all, like the Cleavers, white.

Despite its wholesome and innocent portrayal of growing up, “Leave It to Beaver” was still criticized for its racy depiction of sexuality. One of its most famous episodes was a story where Beaver accidentally laughed at a sign that read, “Violet Rutherford drinks gutter water.” It wasn’t the first time this had been shown on television, and it certainly wasn’t the only.

Airplane!

The first airplane was built by the Wright Brothers in 1903. It changed the way people traveled and helped to connect them more than ever before.

Airplanes are heavier than the air, which means they will fall to the ground unless they have lift. They get that lift from their wings. The wings are shaped in a particular way that makes the air underneath them go farther than the air above them, creating a difference in pressure that allows the plane to stay aloft.

These aircraft are used for cargo handling, air travel or military purposes. Today they are a great way to reach distant destinations quickly and safely.

In the early 20th century, numerous innovators developed airplanes that could fly on auto-pilot and deliver mail. They also made it possible for pilots to fight in World War I and cross the Atlantic Ocean.

Shadow on the Wall

In this song from Yelawolf’s 2014 album Strange Desire, he takes a step back to his country roots with the help of Nashville country singer Joshua Hedley. The pair team up to deliver an enjoyable, catchy tune.

One of the more interesting ways to create a work of art is through shadows, which provide depth, texture, and visual contrast. Artists like Kumi Yamashita, Tim Noble and Sue Webster have taken the concept of using shadows to their advantage in many stunning pieces, utilizing materials such as thread, bits of cloth, aluminum numbers and dozens of papers to create startling silhouettes.

A whitewashed wall is framed by orange-colored dirt and a light blue sky that appears to float across the top of the painting. The dirt reflects warmth, and it shines up on the wall at different angles depending on whether or not the planes of the building face downward or upward. It is a lovely painting that captures the essence of natural shadows, but it also misses a lot of the other details needed for this type of work to be believable.
