Caleb James Goddard is the son of late actress Susan Anspach and actor Jack Nicholson. He was born on September 26, 1970.

The pair had a romantic relationship and Caleb was born while they were filming Five Easy Pieces. He later became adopted by ‘Lost in Space’ actor Mark Goddards.

Susan Anspach

Susan Anspach, the effervescent actress who made her mark in ’70s films like Five Easy Pieces and Blume in Love, has died of coronary failure. She was 75.

Anspach, who appeared in the off-Broadway version of Hair and shared a steamy scene with Jack Nicholson in Five Easy Pieces, was on the cutting edge of acting in the 1960s and ’70s.

She was a leading lady in Bob Rafelson’s landmark road movie, as well as Hal Ashby’s The Landlord and Paul Mazursky’s Blume in Love.

After her marriage to ‘Lost in Space’ actor Mark Goddard, Anspach gave birth to her son Caleb James Goddard on September 26, 1970. She and Mark divorced in 1978.
