Aaron Rodgers Rings
Aaron Rodgers Rings
Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. He’s won a lot of individual honors over the years, but one thing that he lacks is multiple Super Bowl rings.
The Green Bay Packers legend only has one ring, which came in 2011. However, he’s still on the hunt for more.
1. Super Bowl XLV Ring
Super Bowl rings are given to members of the winning team after the Vince Lombardi Trophy is lifted in the championship game. These gold and diamond rings are typically shaped like the Vince Lombardi Trophy or football, and feature the player’s name, uniform number, and the Super Bowl title in Roman numerals. The winning team can distribute these rings to anyone it chooses, including players (active roster or injured), coaches, trainers, executives, personnel, and general club staff. Sometimes, teams will even make these rings available to fans as part of a charity raffle.
The Green Bay Packers won the 2010 Super Bowl XLV, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers was awarded with this Championship Ring. The ring is designed by the NFL’s official ring manufacturer, Jostens. The ring is made from yellow and white gold, and features 106 diamonds, which totals over 5 carats in weight. The ring also includes a green and gold crest, which is a nod to the franchise’s history of success in the league. The ring’s outer edge is adorned with diamonds, and each corner of the square is marked with a “G” shape and the years that the team has won the NFL championship.
The ring is meant to commemorate the team’s accomplishment, as well as the adversity they overcame. It is an incredibly special piece of jewelry, and it will join the Green Bay Packers’ collection of championship rings, which also include rings from Super Bowls I, II, and XXXI.
2. Super Bowl XLV MVP Ring
For any sports fan, there’s nothing quite like a Super Bowl championship ring. These precious metal mementos are often packed with diamonds and intricate references to the winning team’s journey to the big game, and they can cost a fortune. For example, the first Super Bowl ring produced back in 1967 had just one single one-carat diamond and was set in 10k gold.
The Green Bay Packers’ win in Super Bowl XLV on February 6, 2011, was a special moment for the franchise and its fans. It also marked the start of the Aaron Rodgers era, which would become a staple in Green Bay football history. The victory allowed the Packers to become only the fourth team to win four or more Super Bowl titles, joining Pittsburgh (six), San Francisco (5) and Dallas (4).
As a result of their victory, the Packers received Super Bowl XLV rings that were designed by Jostens. These rings were symbolic of the team’s 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV and captured iconic elements of the Packers’ championship tradition.
The crest of the ring featured an 18-karat yellow gold Green Bay “G” logo cast on a green stone tablet. Around the logo were 13 diamonds to represent the franchise’s NFL record of 13 championship wins and four marquise-cut diamonds to mark the Packers’ fourth Super Bowl victory.
3. Super Bowl XLV Ring with Jordy Nelson
A lot of people are quick to insult Tom Brady because he doesn’t walk on water, but I think there’s a good argument to be made that Rodgers is the better quarterback in terms of running an offense, moving in the pocket, passing, and game-speed decision-making. And he has one thing that Brady doesn’t: a Super Bowl ring.
Jordy Nelson was the Packers’ primary receiving target from 2008 to 2018, and he became one of the best in the league during that time. He set several franchise records, made multiple Pro Bowl appearances, and won a Super Bowl with Green Bay in 2011.
Few moments in the Packers’ postseason history are more iconic than Nelson’s catch in that Super Bowl, which came early in the first quarter. He caught a short slant and then ran through a coverage man to the end zone for a touchdown.
Nelson’s career ended with an injury in 2018 and he never quite returned to his form of his prime, but there are no complaints about his legacy, which includes 613 catches for 8,587 yards and 72 touchdowns. He’s leaving the NFL with a ring and a bounty of memories. He also has a great deal of love in his heart for Green Bay.
4. Super Bowl XLV Ring with Shailene Woodley
The Green Bay Packers star is coming off a stellar 2021 season where he was the NFL’s top quarterback. He won the AP MVP award and led the team to a first-round bye in the playoffs. He also threw for 4,115 yards and 37 touchdowns. However, his off-field life has been less successful. As a result, his on-again, off-again relationship with actress Shailene Woodley seems to be over.
While he has one Super Bowl ring, Rodgers has been close to winning more than once. He has come within a game of clinching the Vince Lombardi Trophy on several occasions, including in 2014, 2016, and 2019. He’s also won multiple Conference titles with the Packers.
Despite the breakup rumors, Rodgers has continued to drop hints that the pair is still together. He mentioned her during his acceptance speech for the AP MVP award in February and she later confirmed their engagement on The Tonight Show.
The pair recently appeared together at Palm Beach, which has fueled speculation they are trying to mend their fences. But their disheveled appearances and solemn demeanor poured cold water on those hopes. Moreover, Woodley was recently seen without her engagement ring while leaving her home in Los Angeles and was wearing a navy and white trucker hat. Nevertheless, the couple is not giving up hope of rekindling their romance.
